Level 3 Networking and Cybersecurity
This course is fully funded for Greater Manchester residents who meet the eligibility criteria.
2024/2025 Funding Rules for Applicant Eligibility:
- For learners aged 19+ on or before the 31st August 2024
- Lived in a Greater Manchester postcode region
- Lived in the UK for the last 3 years
- Be either unemployed and employed applicants
- If employed, must earn less than the current ‘low wage threshold’ of £32,200
The qualifications purpose is to:
- prepare you or progression to a qualification in the same sector or a related area at a higher level
- prepare you for employment within different roles in the digital and creative industries and in other industries that require specific digital and IT skills within Networking and Cybersecurity
This qualification is current and has been developed alongside consultants with years of industry knowledge to ensure that it is fit for purpose.

This course is designed to support your development in to the world of Cyber Security and Networking.
You will complete the following units:
- Project Management (Networking and Cyber Security)
- Networking
- Network Threats and Vulnerabilities
- Data Communications
- Ethical Hacking
- Cybersecurity Operational Fundamentals
On successful completion, you will achieve a Level 3 Certificate in Networking and Cybersecurity.
There are no entry requirements for this course, however, you will need access to the following:
- A computer
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft Office Software
Online attendance is required 1 day per week:
- Friday, 9.30am - 4.30pm
